Make it Yourself: Hemp Milk

Good Morning Friends!

Now that I’ve accepted that I’m lactose intolerant I’ve been exploring different alternative milks. Fortunately for me my boyfriend is vegan and has already tried a variety of alternative milks. So far he’s had me try store bought: pea milk, soy milk, cashew milk, almond milk and oat milk. This morning while making our morning coffee he decided he’d make us hemp milk as an alternative milk to add into our drinks. I’ve never had hemp milk and wasn’t sure what to expect. It has a nuttier smell and taste. I really enjoyed it in my coffee and think it would be great in a latte as well (I’ll update how it works in a latte whenever we give in an buy our espresso machine).

It’s a fairly easy process but here’s how Asher made our Hemp Milk:

  1. Grab your blender + add 48 fl. oz. of water + a bag of shelled hemp seeds
  2. Blend until smooth
  3. Strain using a cheese cloth/bag
  4. Add to your coffee & enjoy

I’m hoping to start regularly posting again soon! I know it’s been a slow start to the year but I think I have enough content and ideas to share with you all again!
